Mojstrana je gručasto naselje v Občini Kranjska Gora v Zgornjesavski dolini pod cesto Jesenice - Kranjska Gora, na prodnem vršaju ob sotočju reke Save Dolinke in potoka Bistrice.
Ob slednjem se proti jugozahodu odpira ledeniška dolina Vrata.
K naselju spadajo zaselki Šraj, Ros in Peričnik.

Mojstrana is a clustered settlement in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora in the Upper Sava Valley below the Jesenice - Kranjska Gora road, on a gravel hill at the confluence of the Sava Dolinka river and the Bistrica stream.
Along the latter, the Vrata glacial valley opens to the southwest.
The settlement includes the hamlets of Šraj, Ros and Peričnik.

V naselju se odcepi cesta proti jugu čez Kosmačev preval (847 m) med planoto Mežaklo (1593 m) in triglavskim pogorjem v dolino Zgornje Radovne, od tam pa v ledeniški dolini Krma in Kot.

Razvoj naselja je povezan s fužinarstvom in nahajališči železove rude v bližini, pa tudi s cementarno, ki je propadla po prvi svetovni vojni.
Danes se prebivalci ukvarjajo z živinorejo, povezano s poletnim planinskim pašništvom, ter z delom v domači kovinski, lesni in tekstilni industriji in na Jesenicah.
V bližini je manjša hidroelektrarna.
Pomemben je turizem, tu je osrednje izhodišče za vzpone v Julijce in Karavanke, poleg naselja je smučišče z vlečnico.

The development of the settlement is connected with the ironworks and iron ore deposits nearby, as well as with the cement factory, which collapsed after the First World War.
Today, the inhabitants are engaged in livestock breeding, associated with summer mountain grazing, and with work in the domestic metal, wood and textile industries and in Jesenice.
There is a small hydroelectric power plant nearby.
Tourism is important, here is the central starting point for ascents to the Julian Alps and Karavanke, next to the settlement there is a ski resort with a ski lift.

Ogleda vredne zanimivosti so cerkev sv. Klemena iz 17. stoletja, Triglavska muzejska zbirka, orjaški vaški oreh z obsegom 470 cm, park Triglavski gaj, Šmercova hiša, Ambrožčeva hiša, visoka slapova Spodnji in Zgornji Peričnik v dolini Vrat, ostanki akvadukta za nekdanjo cementarno, Aljažev dom in spomenik padlim partizanom gornikom v dolini Vrat, severna stena Triglava, ledenik Zeleni sneg in ob njem Triglavsko brezno.

Attractions worth seeing include the 17th-century Church of St. Clement, the Triglav Museum Collection, a giant village walnut with a circumference of 470 cm, the Triglav Grove Park, Šmerc's House, Ambrožč's House, the high waterfalls of Spodnji and Zgornji Peričnik in the Vrat Valley, the remains of the aqueduct behind the former cement factory, Aljaž's House and the monument to fallen partisan mountaineers in the Vrat Valley, the north face of Triglav, the Zeleni sneg glacier and the Triglav Abyss next to it.
